Equipped with a picnic basket full of goodies, you will fly from our base, past the gorgeous Murchison landscape, past the cliffs, over rivers, over rugged untamed terrain and onto the open tops of the mountains that surround Murchison where you will be left alone to enjoy the 360 degree views of Tasman, the Maruia, both Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks and of course looking down to Murchison.
After enough time for a fantastic picnic we will return back to collect you.

THE MOUNT OWEN ADVENTURE

Follow the jagged Blue Cliffs Ridge to the beautiful Lake Matiri. From there you will fly towards the uniquely formed Mount Owen. Land amongst Mount Owens amazing rock formations for a fantastic photo opportunity and take in the panoramic views of Kahurangi National Park and its surrounding areas.
Mount Owen is famous for a few reasons. Having the longest caving systems in New Zealand and featuring in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring.
